  1. Preparation of Group Project on ‘The Study of Freedom Fighters in Mayani’:

Objectives:

  1. To create awareness among students about freedom fighters’ struggle for independence of India.
    1. To acquaint students to deprived and ignored freedom fighters in Mayani.
    1. To create devotional sensibility among students about India and its freedom struggle.
    1. To motivate and develop students’ interest in collecting information of freedom fighters in their regions.
    1. To develop among students the tendency of self-study, preparation of notes, updation of modern technology and reading beyond classroom learning.
    1. To explain devotional work of freedom fighters in Khatav Teishil    

Context :

  1. The  initiative is carried  out in context to celebration of Platinum Jubilee of India’s Independence .
  2. It helps to bring  into light devotion of freedom fighters in Satara district.
  3. It develops among them the tendency of self-study, planning and management skill to keep engagement with society.
  4. This initiative leads student to acquire knowledge of Chale Jav revoltion in 1942.
  5. This initiative inspired students to know the freedom struggle of India.
  • Its context is publish devotional work of freedom fighters in a written book.    
  • Practice:

Initially, the plan was discussed with Principal along with IQAC. After it,  the team of the students is formed to collect information of freedom fighters in Mayani. The students collected this information of freedom fighters by visiting and interviewing their heirs and relatives. Further, the references in respect to freedom fighters are sought. Besides, the photocopies of the certificates provided to them by Govt. of India and Maharashtra are collected. The references in respect to them are collected from newspapers, copper plaque , coroner stone etc. collected.  The group of students took out main point of events happened in the lives of freedom fighters through group discussion. They drafted notes on information collected by them. After it, first copy of project is prepared. Then the teachers in Dept. of History evaluated it and some valuable suggestions are given to them. Thus the final copy is drafted under the supervision of teachers. It put in the meeting of IQAC and teachers in Dept. of History for discussion. Its final copy is kept in the college library to read it by the students. The project writing team members are appreciated by Hon. Principal, IQAC members and teachers.   

  • Evidences of Success:
  1. The evidence of success gets from the full response of students through their team work.
  2. The students’ fully supported to visit and interview of heirs and relatives of freedom fighters.
  3. Increased confidence among students in respect to data collection and research aptitude.
  4. The publicity to the initiative is given by forwarding a copy of project to Dept. of History, Shivaji University, Kolhapur and keeping its copy in the college library to read students.
  5. It reading is done on Radio Centre Kolhapur. 
  • Problems Encountered:
  1. Inadequacy of detailed information of freedom fighters being they have been passed away.
  2. Time limitation to cover the project.
  3. Limited resources.
  4. Less response from heirs and relatives of freedom fighters.
  5. Suspicion in the minds of the relatives of freedom fighters while providing information.
  • : Organization of workshop on ‘ Rastriya Uttan Mei Hindi

           Bhasha ka Yogdan.’

  • Objectives:
  1. To create awareness among students about role of Hindi language
    1. To aware student about Hindi language and literature and it development.
    1. To create sensibility among students about utility of Hindi language and literature. 
    1. To make students competent and self generative for employment.
    1. To ingrain among students integrity and nationalism.    
    1. To ingrain social and cultural values among students .
    1. To motivate students to increase their interest in literature and criticism of literary work.     
  • Context :
  • Hindi language is known as national language of India.
  • Hindi is supposed to be the field of employability for undergraduate students.
  • It helps to them to know different streams of Hindi 

   Language.  

  • It develops students’  tendency of self-study, planning and management skill in Hindi language.
  • This workshop leads them to acquire strategic thinking, knowledge of Hindi language and literature. 
  •  Hence, this workshop supposed to be orientation to Hindi language and its contribution in development of India.
  • Practice:

   Initially, the plan was discussed with Principal along with   IQAC and  proposal is submitted to cluster Lead College, Adarsh   College, Vita. After sanctioning the programme by Lead College, resource persons and topic of workshop are finalized. After it, the schedule of program is finalized and communicated to Lead College as well as communicated to students through notification and personal contacts. They are motivated to participate in it. The workshop was conducted on 30/03/2021 in the seminar hall of the college. In it, 105 students  and 8 faculty members participated. The program was conducted with collaboration of Lead College. Dr. B.S. Balwant from  Dahiwadi College Dahiwadi and Dr. B.B. Rathod from Shahajiraje College khatav were invited as recourse persons. Mr. S.C.  Mali introduced the programme. The resource persons were felicitated by Hon. Principal, Dr. S.A. Mokashi. Dr. B.S. Balwant spoke on Hindi language, its history and contribution of Hindi language in development of India. Dr. B.S. Rathod spoke on opportunities of employment in Hindi language and social and cultural values. Both resource persons conducted one interactive session with students about their doubts and queries with respect to Hindi language and literature. Prin. Dr. S.A. Mokashi guided students in his presidential address. Mr. S.C. Mali worked as Coordinator and Dr. S.A. Sayyad Co-coordinator of the workshop.  The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr.M.S. Dongardive and progrrame anchored by Dr. S.B. Mirajkar. The publicity of the program is done through print media. Its working report and audit report submitted to Lead College

  • Evidences of Success:
  1. The evidence of success gets from the full response of       students through their registration.
  2. The students’ fully support to interaction session to both  resource persons.
  3. Increased confidence came across to be visible on the faces of students regarding importance of Hindi language.
  4. The publicity to the programme is given through the print media . i…   . It is appreciated by the newspaper readers.
  5. Praiseworthy remarks were made by the participants about  programme.
